Farafina Gold Group is dedicated to conducting its business activities in a way that benefits all key stakeholders, which includes our employees and the local community.

The construction of water and electricity supply systems, as well as schools and primary medical care facilities, in the village near the license area are envisaged.

Environmental impact policy

We are especially mindful of the environmental impact of our mining operations.  

The impact of mining operations on the environment includes disturbance of the surface layer in the open cast pit construction zone, along with the use of significant amounts of water and the use of chemical reagents for gold recovery.

Deep shaft/hard rock mining minimizes the removal of overburden and its subsequent environmental impact.

Restoration and re-cultivation of the surface layer is ensured by significant regular capital expenditures on maintenance.

Human resources policy

From skilled workers to professionals and graduates, Farafina aims to attract, develop, motivate and retain talented people. This is done by initiating exciting work and development opportunities and to provide quality leadership at all levels.

Farafina aims to implement staff training and development programs to improve the competence of the employees; we also encourage knowledge transfer from key expatriate personnel.

We will train local staff, upgrade professionalism, create training and provide a professional training center based on the Company’s production facilities.
